Glad I found the site, I just picked up a 93 4Runner (2WD, 3.0l) a couple of months ago to have something a little more useful than my Civic and my drag car. I've never been a big off-road guy although I have been an avid MTB'er and hiker for as long as my memory serves me.

I don't have any serious plans for the truck although the more I look around here I find myself fighting the urge to buy parts and cut up my Runner. I think my preference would be trail running over crawling as I have a bit of a speed addiction. My only mods right now are a set of 2009 Tacoma 16" steels with 265/75/R16 BFG Rugged Trails, a 2008 Scion CD player, and a hacked airbox. So far I've got some BJ spacers/FJ 80 springs and a panhard drop on my "to buy" list.

I'm an Expert Toyota tech (Master in ~6 months) and a gear head in general, I'm pretty much a fan of anything that burns gasoline and makes noise. Oh yeah, I have full access to TIS.
