Welcome and that's a cool version of a 2nd gen and you are likely the sole owner of one of those on this forum so you got yourself in a very exclusive little club.

Welcome to the family... I like that front end the grill looks a little like a BMW
and the bumper is good too.
There was a thread here a few years ago about this truck when it appeared at one of the Autoshows in China. Try a search for Chinese 4runner or Chinaautomobil and it should come up.
If I remember the story right, body and mechanicals are almost identical to the 2gen 90-96 runner so you will find lots of good information here.

ps don't worry your english is fine.

Wow thats interesting! I never knew the 4runners had that close of a clone. I like it its a mix between the 96-02 limited and the 90-95 body. I agree with aviator the grill makes it look like a BMW its the first thing I noticed. O and welcome to YT!

It looks that close because Chinaauto bought the tooling from Toyota.

right but customs probably wouldn't allow the whole vehicle to come over because it wasn't tested to meet safety standards as of 2005 or whatever.

even though the tooling is from toyota, the quality or craftsmanship might not.

So to import, would have to chop it in half and have it shipped over and swap EVERY part with yours and bam.... JDM or whatever CDM (china domestic market) toyota 4runner

no reason to chop it... by an "unbranded" wreck from a yard and just swap the VIN over...
but check the rules generally speaking if it was apporved for europe it's good for here all you'd have to change would maybe be the bumper and lights [DRLs]

I wonder whether there is a general Snorkels at Surf135? (106 130)
And how much it might cost? I am happy to buy.
Or I can barter. It takes someone lights?
Thanks

USA yard... most "write-offs" get "branded" by the ins. industry so they can't be repaired and resold. This is to prevent poorly repaired wrecks from being sold as gently used "cherries".
