Hello from Tennessee!

Howdy everyone, just wanted to key-up and say hello from Middle Tennessee. Been a long time Toyota fan (Trucks and 4Runners) until I bought my 1995 4Runner in November...now I am a fan of Toyota 4-bangers.

I have owned a few Toyota trucks and hopefully the 95 will not ruin me for them completely.

My first Toyota: 1985 2WD - Dad bought this one new and passed it along to me with 140k on the clock.

My 1993 4X4 - My favorite truck - I would never have gotten rid of it if it was an extended cab!

My 1987 4Runner - My first 4Runner....loved that truck. I traded it for a 4wheeler for my boys, I should have traded the boys and kept the truck!

My 1991 Corolla - Bought it new and my wife and I wore it out.

My 1995 4Runner - This truck is trying my patience! I have put 40 miles on the truck since I bought it near the first of November....unfortunately I bought it 50 miles from my home!

The day I bought it started out GREAT!

The end of the day was a little less than desirable!

It sat in the back yard for about a month!

My sister goes to college out in TN and she drove back home for christmas last month. It's amazing how much rust has accumulated on her car in just 2 years! Your truck looks flawless though, keep up the good work!

It will be nice when I get it back together....the holidays got in the way and not much got done on the truck. I am having a reassembly party this weekend and hope to have it back in the truck and running by sunset on Sunday....wish me luck.

Hey BiggerHammer....good to hear from you, there is a guy at work with an 86. He is painting it now and getting the interior redone. When he finishes it I will get some pictures!

Those tires sold me on Kumhos.....since I bought those, I have put new Kumhos on basically everything I own. I hope to be able to get a set of MTs for the 95 when I get it going.

We got the engine back together today and should get it dropped in the truck in the next couple of days. I have a few pictures of the old engine that indicates what happened:

The '95 is running as of Last Wednesday....I gotta name her now. I was thinking of calling her BINGO since that was what we would yell every time we found the right bolt when we were putting the motor in. I hope to get some more pictures soon.

I had a little FIRE in the 4runner last night. Melted a vacuum line against the exhaust manifold and it burned up a few things. I replaced allot of vacuum lines today and the plug wires were toast. So I got everything replaced today...now I have a whistle when I get into it. I obviously have a leak somewhere but dang they can be a bear to find.
