Hello everyone! Soon to be Tacoma owner

New to the toyota world. I am looking to buy a 1995 toyota Tacoma 4cyl 4x4 auto. The guy is asking $3500 being that it needs a driverside door and fender. I talked him down to $2000. But here's the problem, It has a blown headgasket and Tranmission BARELY slips. HE really tried to screw me over by telling me he doesn't know what it could be. I really wanted one of these for the longest time. So my very first (couple) yota tech question for you guys is
-Is there a complete write up with pictures for a replacement engine swap? (please provide url or link)

-How much do these engines usually cost? (3rz-fe) (2.7L i4)

I tried searching for a half hour. Also is there any other really good toyota tacoma forums?

If it has a 22re (2.4L i4) its not a "Tacoma", its called a "pick-up" or "truck". If its a "Tacoma" it will have the 3rz-fe (2.7L i4).

thanks for the clarfification and will edit my post. So does anyone no where there are any engine swap write ups? I already look in the engine swap threads and nothing came up. Seems like this site isn't too big on engine swaps.
