Good morning YT!

I should have done this weeks ago, so please pardon my rudeness.

I do not own a Toyota!

Denver transplant from Chicago. I've been in Colorado for 12 years now, enjoying the mountains - backpacking, fly fishing, skiing, biking - you name it.

I've been a Subaru guy for as long as I've been (legally) able to drive. I'm a member at plenty of Subaru forums - NASIOC, ClubWRX, and our illustrious local forum, AWDPirates.net. My first car was a '96 Outback. The evening after I picked it up from its 75k service, before I knew how to do the work myself, I blew a radiator hose, cracked the block, and, the car being what it was, decided to trade in the shell for a new WRX wagon rather than install a new engine. I've spend the last seven years modding the WRX. As it sits, it pushes 298 at the wheels. But, it's time to move on!

I'm in the process of selling my wagon (you may have seen the thread in the marketplace) so I can pick up either a 1st gen 4Runner or 2nd gen truck to build up. The plan is to balance the build between crawling and expedition capability, but keep it DD-able. I look forward to dealing with a straight-4 22RE. I love the EJ series, but those opposed cylinders are a pain to work on!

Professionally, I spend my days negotiating with the IRS on behalf of people who, for one reason or another, have not paid their taxes. I have a J.D. from University of Denver and hope to get admitted to the bar in October. As soon as that happens, I'm hoping to make a career shift to a county DA's office in Denver or the surrounding area.

So, hello YT. Cheers!

Well welcome o Yota Tech. and Its cool to meet more folks here from Colorado. I'm down in the Springs. And I'm personally a fan of the 2nd generations. Look forward to seeing a build thread when you do get the 4Runner.
