Another new member

Hello,

I just found the forum as I was doing some research regarding my new Toyota Tundra 4x4 SR-5 CrewMax. With the 5.7, of course. My wife bought it for me as a surprise (yes, I have one of the coolest wives in he world). She knew I had been wanting a pick-up, and did the research and figured out what would be best given our needs, and picked a Toyota. It isn't my first, I had an 82 4x4 Hi-Lux that I loved, and got rid of when we needed room for kids. I have wanted another for a long time. However, the Tundra fits our lifestyle better than a Tacoma would've, since it will be pressed into service as a tow vehicle once in a while.

At any rate, I am spending my time making plans for it, since I am currently deployed in Kuwait with my Army National Guard unit for the remainder of the year. Lots of time to plan how to make it the best all-purpose vehicle I can, good for camping, light off-roading, occasional towing, and sometime daily driver.
