1994 4Runner 3VZE (Auto)

Picked this up for a steal and stumbled my way onto this forum. It has a lot of nice options on top of a lot of upgrade/lift paths to follow. I am from PA, near Philadelphia.

So far this is what I need to tackle:
- Power Steering Pump - it leaks ps fluid (have to figure out where it's leaking from)
- I think I may still have an exhaust leak, the EGR makes a strange ticking sound that may be the culprit

What I have done:
- Cat-Back - Picked up a Dynomax kit

What I want to do:
- 2" Body Lift
- at least 3.5" Suspension Lift
- replace rear bumper with tire/swing out carrier

Still learning a lot so I am unsure what I would need (bigger axles?) with the lift I want. I don't want to go above 2" BL wise. Just want to get her purring before I turn it into a road/mud demon.

...and this is how my first install went:

Muffler with the flanged intermediate pipe fell on my face. I thought I would be okay since I had a helper underneath holding the exhaust up. I thought wrong...

true. every time i get my ears pierced, they end up getting infected. i was just saying that using the muffler to pierce your ear isnt the best way.. but oh well.. lol. take care of that 3vze, they love to eat head gaskets.

Hrm really? Have you ever tried Hibiclense? Great product...

I think I got that recall taken care of for the HG deal, it will still go out on me? I own a DSM so I now the heart ache of pulling a head apart but not a 6 cyl.

if you dont take care of it, then yes, it might go out. there are people here who have had the recall done and the gasket still blew.

Welcome, nice looking runner you got there. Don't worry about the headgasket, mine was changed in 1996 and its still going strong. Like your plans but get rid of the running boards and fender trim and get yourself some bushwackers. it will look so much better.
