By that time of year most of the trails @ Evan's aren't doable. And the easy summer trails become quite funny. And of course the 9 miles of dirt road to get to Evans get crazy if there's lots of ppl. Been to Elbe in the snow, we tried one trail and that didn't work too good, so took the kids sledding.

I should have the winch back on by then. Going out past Enuclaw (sp?) between now and Sunday for I tree, will let you know what I see.

Went and got a tree this afternoon. 410 past Greenwater was cold and icy not too much snow. Probably not what we'd be looking for for a snow run as the elevation climb, narrow road, not many turn around places. Beautiful views, though will go back after the thaw.

Well i think the 2nd is a good date..

On friday i was up in the Olympic foothills... Found some snow, and some AWESOME views..

Now, do we want to go WHEELING, or dink around in some forest service road trails, get to the top, grill some burgers up, bs and hang out, and get back down?

So far i have found one area... takes... 2 hours to make it through, start at sedro wooley, and end up near darrington... there was snow at about 3500-4500 feet, from 6 inches to a foot and a half. IT was hard, compact, icey snow (fell on my ass getting outta my rig to strap the dog crate and hawkbox down). There was ruts through it, which is what i used to makeit through.

Although, i was up hunting in lynden today and they got about 4 inches by 130PM... So i can only assume the area i was in is now COVERED.

I navigated it via GPS. so i think we can do the same thing. It was a pretty relaxing nice drive, and again, the views are spectacular.

Bird: What do you want. I like the idea of sharing the experience but unfortunately the conditions dictate. I think we need to put some basic requirements for both vehicle and pack load.
