[WA] Lil Naches & Naches 7.17.04

Wohoo!

Ben (GrnTaco) took out a couple of folks on a "quick run" through the Lil Naches and the Naches.

It was a pretty "easy" ride in terms of difficulty, but it was pretty dry. Given a bit of water, this would have ben a LOT harder (ehh, I mean "more fun" ).

I've got my pics up now, I'll have Shannon's up in a couple of days, and I think more are coming.

Great pics and write-up Mark! The one of Shane holding onto that tent pole cracks me up...he looks so proud, or is that confusion on what to do with it?

All the pics are really nice. The sunset and rainbow are amazing.

It was a wonderful day and I had such a fun time!

Thanks!

:pat: stupid tent.

Actually once we figured out how the danged thing went together it turned out to be pretty decent, especially considering how inexpensive it was. Not gonna work for solo camping tho', that's for sure.

Awesome pics.
Very nice indeed.

I am going to try some snow camping maybe this winter up at Greenwater.

That had to be cool up there with no city lights to obstruct the view of the stars.

That's entertainment in Enumclaw at 1am! Surprisingly, there were people hanging around watching it....including us, lol!

They said the house was built in 1915.

The lady that bought it paid $1. Okay nevermind, Mark already made mention of this fact. I don't know how much to move it though.

We could still see Seattle and Yakima tho'. We were making EOTWAWKI jokes during a thunderstorm that blew through Sunday morning, the first fairly quiet boom was Yakima being wiped off the map shortly followed by a series of louder booms which we figured was the greater Seattle area.

Next time someone needs to bring a telescope!!!

Funny you should mention that... I was thinking the same thing.

I have a 5" reflector that's been bumped around a bit but would be a lot of fun out there anyway. My real concern would be keeping the tube safe during my 45mph rides across the whoop-de-doos to get screams out of Shannon. I have reams of bubble wrap, that may help.

But in short.. I'd be happy to bring it out.

(no Ben, I didn't say "whip it out"!)

Lol!

You think like I do Ben!

When I read Mark's post all I saw was "keeping his tube safe", "whoop-de-doos", and "screaming". Plus his claims of a 5" reflector.

Kinda reminds me of the CB chatter.

Thanks for the laugh...I needed it. Too funny!
