That's some nice action footage!!!

I've never seen mud puddles quite like that. Was that you doing the 3 wheel rocking chair manuver at the end? That must have been a fun ride. Mark that down for a "must do" trail for when (not if) I come out to WA. I heard a lot of stuff like, "I have no idea where I am" on the radios. I bet its easy to get lost out there. When in doubt go down hill and you will eventually get to the ocean, right?

The production of the vid is very nice to, with the shutter sound and the stills integrated. That's a cool effect. I'm keeping it.

That Unimog (if that's what it was) was a nice touch too.

Very cool trail.

I just got some video editing software, but have not figured it out yet.
I want to take most of the vids I shot at Greenwater and stitch them together.

Na, that was Jon (TOOEZGOIN). We thought he was having trouble making that turn. It was steep and 90 degrees right. After the third bounce we figured he was just playing. I was waiting for his coil to come flying out. lol

Thanks metal. I use a Cobra 18 WX ST II. Doesn't have all the bells and whistle that some of the guys are using but man it works great for my use.

Ya Corey that was a Uni. That thing was pretty unstoppable.
While on the trail you could tell he had been there by the fresh chucks ripped off the trees. In the vid as his rear is dropping he taking a pretty good chunk out of it.
It was pretty cool watching him play in the mud bog area. However when we heard him coming down the trail it sounded like the Safeway deliver truck coming our way. That diesel sounded awesome.

Yup. Dat be da one! The drop off was farely deep. The angle of that drop was quite interesting. You had two trees on either end. Both with their roots as a step off. On the other side of the roots is a drop off about 3feet downhill. Once your nose makes it over, your tail end is so high above it. Those with minumum lift and 32s or less were assured damage.

I have question. After reading about that 3' drop-off and knowing that I would have damaged my rig on this, I am thinking again about having some rock sliders made for my Pathfinder. Does anyone know where I could have this done and how much I could expect to spend on it?

I got mine made by Badland Bumpers out past Ravensdale.
Not sure if Jeff has done then for a Pathy before, but I'm sure he could do it.

Hey Jim,
Several of us had our sliders made by Jeff at Badland Bumpers. Jeff can pretty much make sliders to your specs. Real nice guy to deal with.
You can check mine out at my site
smr4runner and go to Mods or Add Ons.

Jo H with the Xterra has some pretty beefy sliders on his. You might want to ask where he had his done locally. It saved his rocker panels quite a few times today at Evans Creek.

Hey Jim,
As I recall. Both the pathfinders and the Xterras step tubes bolt directly to the frame. Most fabbers will use those bolting points to for sliders. This is a big plus since you don't have to weld nor tap new holes.
When I was doing research on sliders I ran into Roger Browns website 4Crawlers . He makes sliders for Pathys as well. The advantage again is that they are made to fit the factory step bar mounting holes.

Jim, wouldn't you have jsut taken a running start at it, gone airborn, then landed all four wheels squarely on the ground, safely away from any potential damage?

Seriously though, I just got finished looking up a bunch of different makers. I think I have it narrowed down to four makers: www.kongs4x4.com (Maniac Metal Works), www.badlandbumpers.com 4crawler.cruiserpages.com ( http://4crawler.cruiserpages.com/4x4...tml#Pathfinder ) or www.demello-offroad.com Badland Bumpers is just out in Ravensdale, east of Maple Valley, they might be able to do something for you. I think I am leaning tothe 4crawler ones myself. You might also check www.arbusa.com ( http://www.arbusa.com/ARB_Side_Prote...teps_Rails.htm ) . They have a distribution center up in Seattle. They might have something available for your rig. You should probably think about getting one of those side rail protectors too, to protect those front fenders

BTW, the ARB sight is not very good. Try to get one fo their print catalogs, the pictures show the steps a lot better.

Tahuya is not a trail, it's a f'ing maze! :confused: I've had a couple runs out there where we've been lost for 3-4 hours and it's starting to get dark and you could swear you've been through that one section over and over again, that's when you wonder if you'll ever get out.

I am seeing the same problem that I have seen from the beginning. The only sliders that are offered for the Pathfinders are for 1996 and newer Pathfinders only. Mine is a 1994 model. I emailed a few of the folks on your list and hopefully I will find someone that can build them for me.

LOL. I agree. For awhile there I thought we were living the Blair Witch Project. We were trying to meet up with the other group at the mud bog area. I swear we ended up at the same rock garden 4 different times from 4 different directions.
We said screw the mud bog area and just checked out the trails. Guess where we ended up at. Right at the mud bog area.

Hey Jim,
You should give Jeff a call. He does all kinds of rigs. Both american and imports. When I was getting my sliders put on he was fabbing a custom bumpter on an old Ford 72 Bronco.
Im going to try to get to his place next weekend to have him weld up my panhard bracket. Maybe we can head down there together. Im sure LA would love to check it out as well since he's is in the market for a set.

Im in Kent so we could meet up at my place and all drive over. From my house its about 30minutes east. He's out there in the boonies.
His primary business takes him out of town often so we would have to make arrangements with him.
