Hey ya'll! Planning a run on monday, leaving at 8 am from my house. I have one friend going in a sammy, me, and possibly my buddy mike in his 4Runner. The more people the better.

If we can make it out by 8, that will put us at the trail head at 9. It is an all day trip. If no one else can make a trip this long, we can change the trail to a closer one. I have several Ideas of other runs, half day runs if you will. Well, let me know who is interested, we have accomodations if anyone wants to come up sunday night and crash, then head out early in the morning.

C'mon! Its gonna be fun and interesting. From what I have been hearing the trail got pretty nasty since last year, so, might be a very interesting day.

Meh, heat aint nothing, last time we went out it was 118, in the shade of course. I would head up there but I work tomorrow and the mrs. works tuesday. Too far to make it a day trip, plus my mom just had surgery so she will want us to stay at the house and visit. I Might be heading up thanksgiving weekend. Definately do some wheeling. Or around christmas. PM me and I will tell you how thats possible with the closures. But yeah, there is four of us locals going out. Once I get a real job (using my military experience to get on base) then I will have my weekends and real vacation time.

Well, had 8 trucks who wanted to go. four of us showed up. Two of us finished... barely. As per the other two trucks, they didnt want to stay and continue, so they turned around and went home.

This is why they left, with their fullsize trucks

For this next set of pics, Mikes front driver side tire was gashed on a rock. Being the idiot I am, I left my jack at home. So, to get the tire off the ground without a jack required some interesting thinking on my part. I decided that his truck must be three wheeled on a rock. Once three wheeled (easy with IFS) naturally the heaviest portion will want to be on the ground. To overcome this a come-a-long was implemented, to pull the rear down and lift the front tire... Just say it, I'm good.

Look at me, im the fat guy!

while I work, he drinks redbull!!!

Forgot we used a shovel too.

Almost forgot, Mike brought his .357, and he also says, never buy the taurus .357 you see in this picture, he says its junk, I love it, especially with 14 grain hollow points he loaded himself.
