NY trails?

NY trails?
I can't find any trails basically in NY. I already been to Paragon so I know about that. I live in upstate NY or an hour south of Syracuse. I know most of the members here are mostly west coast but it is worth a shot. So anyone know of some trails?

I used to live in Saratoga NY and spent alot of time in the adirondack mountains. There are alot of forrest roads and old logging trails you could find. My suggestion would be to call some 4x4 shops and ask around for maps etc...

I know this is an old thread, but I'm just outside binghamton (newark valley actually), and have found a FEW places. Mainly state land trails and seasonal use roads that lead to trails.

I am in the Rochester area and I am having a hard time finding anything. There is a Finger Lakes Landrover club that has a ride from time to time. Usually its in the Nunda area around Letchworth state park. I know its private land though.

Man you would think that their was a trail somewhere.
I know that Team Mudnuts does a ride in Lyons once a month. I would go but they are crazy with the safety gear and require all sorts of stuff. I just can't spring for a winch. So I haven't been able to go.

Here i am a year late. Mudnuts (talkedto them recently: agree, too much safety requirements) said they go to a place called whispering pines. I grew up outside ithaca, and used to go out on logging trails in the hills. not too technical but some decent mud and beautiful scenery.

Its not posted. its old logging roads mostly, and snowmobile trails. I believe its technically state land or "state forest" land.
if you follow irish settlement rd up further, the second left after that, you can follow that either straight or there is a left hand turn and there are some trails out that way too.

Don't worry, my SAS on my 94 has a little ways to go as well. My 89 I do not take off road since it is my daily driver. I could but the tires are a little worn and I do not feel like getting stuck or buying new tires since I'm selling it anyways.

Hey Guys, i am new to the forum but I am interested in checking out some of the Trails in Upstate NY, i have a 91 4Runner... anyone wanna give me a hand working on the truck a little? she has 247,000 miles of trouble free operation but it is time to give her some new life...
