[Nor-Cal] forest service road exploring 4/7-4/9

Steve (jokeplayer) and I were thinking of doing some forest service road exploration this weekend and wanted to see if anyone else wanted to go. we'll be up west of Stonyford CA. there appears on Google Earth a bunch of springs, lakes, creeks and streams up there. so it should be fun. i've never been up there before and Steve’s said he’s only been there once a couple years ago. like the title says it will be mostly exploring forest service roads just seeing what’s up there (i am in the search for hot springs ) but if the possibility of wheeling presents itself, actions will be taken http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=stonyford+ca thats to stonyford, and you can see all the forsest service roads to the west. let me know if you want to go and we’ll find a meeting spot.

I keep my rig up in sonora, since it was stolen twice down here. During the summer i do a lot of runs at niagra creek and various other trails on 108. just drive from stockton to oakdale and take 108 all the way up past pinecrest.

plenty of stuff. 108 runs over the sierra and ties into 395, near mono lake. Nice lakes, streams, FS roads and a few designated trails.
