Most here know of the Hammers.... , but for those who don't, I highly recommend, that hell or high water, you get out for at least a couple of days to see a one of a kind of event!


From extreme rock crawling to an all out equally rig destroying longer coarse,.... there is so much to do and so many rigs to drool over (they estimate 35,000 will attend over the week),.....NO ONE who loves this sport would go home saying, "What a waste of time"......!!!!!


The 8th Annual Griffin King of the Hammers Presented by Nitto Tire will be the largest to date with an expanded Vendor show, and additional entertainment. The event will take place during the first week of February and the main event will be held on Friday, February 7th, 2014.

There are massive connections to be made on that Facebook page, and plenty of links and groups, therein, that people could use to make plans in regards to meeting people, etc.... But, when it comes to people within the site, I thought a major trip planning thread couldn't hurt... Obviously people will be coming from all over, but that doesn't mean that after checking in here and sharing some numbers, multiple people can't meet up.....

I will also be doing a trip planning thread in the next couple days regarding Tierra del Sol. This is also a giant event..... Something everyone should try to do at least once, especially if you deeply love off roading and OHV's in general...

This will be the first year since 2009 that I will miss the event.
I think what I will miss the most is the festivities at back door Friday night.

Really crappy, but that's life.

Mark, if you didn't know, the TTORA crew will be at cougar buttes Saturday morning. It's 20 mins down the road from the hammers. Definitely worth checking it out if you've never been to the buttes before.

Looks like I'm not going this weekend, obviously today. And Sunday is Super Bowl. I'll definitely be going later in the week. Probably will be going out Thursday (6th) I'll try and call you but I think cell phone service is bad. Maybe we should touch base Wednesday night.
