Neighbors, up the street, around the block, impound, salvage yards, wall mart parking lot, farmers fields (watch they sometimes can be cranky)

Public and police auctions sometimes have good vehicles for cheap. A guy I used to work with bought a car from a police auction for about 1/2 of what he would have expected to pay normally.

Funny thing was, and he swears by this, he couldn't figure out why he kept running out of gas and why he could only put like $10 in at a time (in a tank that should have held about $30). Then he'd drive about 100 miles and have to put in another $10. Gauge always read 2/3 to Full, and he'd run out of gas at 2/3.

He ended up taking it to a mechanic who then pulled the gas tank only to find several kilos of cocaine wrapped up about 100xs in plastic. He said the coke went to the feds because the shop called the police, but he kept the car.

Is there any specific thing I should watch out for on these trucks? I really like the 90-95 body style and I heard they are pretty bullet proof.
