What do you guys think, is it a good deal.

So I found a 4runner on craigslist the other day and I was wondering if you guys think its a good deal. Its a 1987 sr5 model 4 cylinder 5 speed, power windows, power locks, the a/c and heater works, rear heat, sun roof, cruise, pretty much every option that they had in 1987. It has a newish paint job and the exterior is pretty much immaculate no dents just a little bit of fading on the hood. It has 249,000 miles on the body and transmission and 80-100,000 miles on a rebuilt motor. The only thing that the owner said it needed was a drivers side power window switch, and a windshield and some new tires. He is asking $2,900 and I feel that is a little high so I offered him 2,500, he said he did not want to go that low. He said the lowest he will go is 2,800. Do you guys think that it is worth the money? any advice would be appreciated. here are some pictures.

That seems a little high to me. seeing as tires and a windshield can be expensive to replace. Also see if he has any paper work for the engine and tranny.

Show him the cash and I bet he'll give it up for $2500. I really like that paint scheme btw.

so it turns out that the guy does not have the title in his name and he said that he is going to try and get the title put in his name but i don't see it happening... so i guess the search continues.

I would not touch it for even $2,000, you can do better anyway.
