Selling advice on used Trany's

When I bought my 85, it came with a G5x trany and the seller threw in a W56. Over the course of a few months, I've decided to take a different direction with my truck and now have both sitting in my garage and I need the space.

The G5x tran was behind a 350 and I started finding large metal parts in the drain plug magnet (syncro's exploded I think), it's toast but I'm not sure if its worth anything for a rebuild or core.

the w56 is of unknown origin, seems to shift good, but I've never had it in a running vehicle so I couldn't swear to it's condition, mileage, etc.

My question is, what are fair prices for a tranny that needs work at a minimum and one that I have no info on?
