1500 is a bit high for rolled...
... but if the engine is strong with relatively low miles it might be a good option considering you could spend 1500+ for an engine alone... and you'd have all those other parts that come along with the truck as spares too. ... and you could sell the parts you don't need or can't use.

i offerd the guy $500 - 1,000. he said he really needed to get $1,500 only cause the motor has 10,000miles on it.
the body is shot, drivers and passenger side. everything else is fine. if he has paper work for the rebuild that would be a plus.. 1,000 was all i was looking to spend... thats why i'm seeing weather it's a deal or not. i might offer at most $1200 but i'll have to see if there is other things i can use. my motor has only about 40,000miles...

why not put your 2wd body on the 4x4 drivetrain if the frame is fine on the wrecked truck

i have spent alot of money on my front end to get it right.. so i'm going to look at the truck. if he'll take anything less then $1500 i'll get it. i called a guy to has a ton of toyota trucks and parts wants $800 to swap my truck over to EFI and keep all my carb parts to sale. the rolled truck sounds like a better deal when i can have a whole parts truck with a "new" motor.

I rock the carb, and have 90% of the parts for an EFI Swap chill'n. For like the last 2 yrs. Havent done it because I dont need to.
I'd rather do the propane/gas setup from Gotpropane.com ... Maybe in the spring =) 1500 just to swap EFI into a 2wd truck seems like a big waste of money. Might i ask what you dont like about the carb?

the propane is an idea, but how much mileage do you get? what about the hassle of getting propane. and $850 for the kit with out the tank? is'nt worth it to me to not swap this over to EFI. for $1500 the truck runs and drives fine.. it's the body thats shot. thought about swaping the efi from it, then putting the carb set up on it and use it as a trail rig. the only other deals i have ran into is a 91 4x4 with a bad motor for $1200. anything cheaper then that the yota guys buy them up and part them off... makes finding anything less then $1,000 kinda hard unless they aint advertiseing, in that case i would'nt even know it's for sale..lol I replaced my carb, pump, filters, tank, pickup tube, and fuel sending unit. it is'nt right, no one can get the carb spot on. but it runs perfect as long as your in the gas, power and MPG's are great. but what i said above is why it's as good as gone when i find a deal.
