Over priced?

Alright so I found a truck for sale in that I really wanna check out. Its a 1990 pickup 4x4 with a 22re, manual trans and manual locking hubs. Has bout 120k on it. new tires and recent tune up. Was also a Texas truck . Thing is she wants 4k for the truck which is like top dollar i think. Whats ur guys thoughts?

Looks like a repaint. And that 4x4 emblem on the back is not stock.

But if the interior is as clean as the outside, I say its worth the 4k for it.

yea i saw that emblem and thought the same thing. I haven't seen the interior but from the way she described the truck it sounds clean all around. only rust just started under the wheel well she said and its just surface bubbling.

That seems way to much to me. I would check for bondo work, it looks like a repaint so look to see why it way reapinted. 120K is pretty good. Everything work great? I would other half or less for it. Cause they want way to much. There is a reason they are selling it.

O yea for sure!

yodathespian87, how would I go about checking for bondo? Also I was told they are selling because her husband is a "bigger guy" but on her ad they say they want a full size truck or a sports car, hmmm. She did tell me she got laid off tho, maybe i can swing a deal on that aspect

You can use a magnet wrapped in cloth.

need the cloth or something along those lines so you don't scratch the paint. Still be careful.

all i have to say is i sold my 94 pick up 22r 4x4 with 50k on it for 4000 but it had a little bit more rust on it so i would say with those miles maybe 2500 depending on if the truck is all bondo

Alright so it seems that my main enemy here is body filler. I'll try the magnet in cloth when i go look at it, Im guessing where there is bondo the magnet will be weak/not stick.
So assuming theres none or little, u guys say its a go?
