$2500 is ok with a decent interior and in running condition.
$3000 for a trashed interior and a motor that runs is way to much. If you have some mechanical ability and can work on cars I would recommend finding a 4runner that has a good interior, body, frame, wiring harness and efi components, but has a blown engine for $500 - $1500. Then fully rebuild the engine which should be under $1500. This would give you a nice interior and new motor for $3000 or less.

What do you think it is worth and what about costs to redo the interior? The body is very nice and these rarely come up for sale in my area.

You can find 4runner seats f/r for $100 periodically etc..theoretically you can get all the interior junk for $250. It all depends on how bad you want it. Sounds like a $2K truck to me...

That's what I thought, too and turned it down. Thanks for the input. Looking for something else now, either a 4Runner or a Scout. Looking at a couple on here and a couple local.

Sounds about par for an very used 23 year old truck.
That K5 has the solid axle doesn't it? Thats a sweet ride too. I bet it rides better than just about any solid axle Toyota.

Yeah, the K5 rides really nice and has a almost new engine, transmission and 4x4 parts. The body is terrible, but it runs and drives awesome. I'm working on the body now, putting in all new flooring, new coverings in the bed, roll bar, redoing the seats, dash and window motors inside; outside putting on a new tailgate, fender flares, rocker panels, paint and tires. It should be relatively nice when done. I'll probably sell it, though, because it's just bigger than I need.

Yeah I hear you. You need wider trails too for a rig that big. I love the Toyota size but with I had the Chevy's power.
