A clean fully loaded 86 4x4 runs great, new tires. Considering a sale.

Hello Guys,

Things change fast and thus I"m thinking about selling an 86 I own, it had it's main life inland of a California desert location, I'm the second owner after the dealer, so technically 3rd owner. It's a fully loaded, all papers, service manual, 5 Speed 4x4 SR5 EXT Cab with 208.532 miles on the clock. Drives great and will prob end up posting some videos with it driving on the highway and showing everything working. Original sunshade is still functioning fine. It's not perfect, but nothing is at this age, but it is very clean and needs a new home.

Here are a few pics. Whats a good listing price? A lifted 86 green version sold for around $19k around here and it was also very clean for the age, but again it was not perfect. So I want to again get a fairness gauge of value before spending more time listing it correctly.

This one listing has me wow'd for the price to be honest, but I'm sure it's beyond perfect at that cost and I think they are a great member on this forum.... REF: https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/l-Used...ting=149928446

I moved your thread to the correct section.

It is a clean truck. The prices have definitely been going up. Did the truck you mentioned actually sell for around $19k or was that the asking price?
But a lot depends on the local market.
I would look at all the sources: eBay, Meacham and other auction sites.
What does the bed look like under the bed liner?

That local lifted truck was listed for $19k, I have no idea what it sold for really, but it did sell, so prob something close, but again, not as clean as mine. The bed under the liner looks good imho, it's missing some paint and a little dirty on some of the raised rails, but no real rust issues. Like I said it seems like a fairly clean truck to me for the age. I'm having a hard time gauging the price tho, hence why I posted here. Thanks for the reply...

You have a very nice and clean truck!

It seems that it is hard to put a value on these trucks these days. Some will say only a couple grand while others will say $10,000 -15,000+. It just depends on what the buyer is willing to pay.

Your best bet for price is through an auction. Look at what similar trucks have sold for on eBay. (But what do I know? I have never sold a car in my life!)

Personally, these clean, original, and unmodified trucks are worth a lot more to me than someone's dream off-roader with their life savings poured into it, regardless of what they have done to it.

Thanks for the reply, I guess eBay would be the only good choose to reach the largest diversified market. Thanks for all the help, I was leaning that way, but wanted a better gauge of price before doing so. Thanks again.
