'84 Pickup 4x4

There is a 1984 Toyota Pickup 4x4 for sale near me. Right now, I have a 1994 2x4 Toyota Pickup. I would most definitely prefer the 4x4 as I live out in the country. Don't the 84's have solid axles? Also, how hard are the the engines to work on, if need be? What should I look out for when looking into buying one of these? Here's the link on Craigslist:http://roswell.craigslist.org/cto/2933209760.html. Please tell me what you think and give me any advice that you think would be applicable. Thanks!

That looks like a really nice pick-up.
It does have a solid axle, 85 was the last year of solid front axle.
The 22r's are relatively easy to work on.
Looks like you dont have to worry about rust. So if it runs good and doesnt have any weird shakes or noises i would go for it, looks super clean!

Is this pickup rated as 1/2 ton or something else?

1/4 ton. 1/2 ton is a fullsize truck or unless otherwise stated on pick-up
