22rt motor

Hello,

I have been talking with a guy that has a factory turbo charged engine that he wants to sell. I am wondering if 600$ bucks is to much to pay. I would be getting the complete engine and all components ie, piping ecu an such. The motor has approx 110000 miles on it. I know i will have to rebuild so basically its a long block core. This would be a replacement for my tired 22re in my 86.

Give me some thoughts, thanks in advance

I sold the one I had listed for $700 within hours of putting it online.

These are rare pieces, and people are willing to pay for them.
I honestly had over 100 emails of people wanting to trade their first born for it. I had no idea it was such an in-demand lump.

So, at $600 you might be getting a deal.

I don't know all that much about them, other than they aren't really very common at all, even after being on about a half dozen forums daily for a couple months, and I want one. 600 sounds like it's quite doable

stick with what you got they are a money pit for not much gain, do a price list for a rebuild check around for what a turbo will cost you or how much it will cost for a t3 t4 adapter kit.

I picked it up that day.

The next day it went to the machine shop.

Now its fully rebuilt, bored .20 over, cammed nicely, arp head studs and balenced nicely.

Ready for some turbo go fast goodies
