If it is free then I would buy it, if it is more than $100-$200 I would keep looking. I ocasionally see 1st genereation 4runners with dead engines and good bodies, interiors and efi for $500-$1000.

yea i agree with whokrz, if you getting for dirt cheap go for it, but your going to have to put a bit of money into it to make it what you want, if there asking closer to 1000 offer a 100 and walk away! Doing an interior swap isn't to hard after you find all the parts and the engine can be rebuilt but again this will take $$$$$

All depends on what you are getting it for. You'll spend at least 300.00 Could be much more 1k maybe on the motor depending what needs done. Another couple hundred on the interior.

Awesome thank you so much for the advice. Do any of you guys know if the interior would be interchangeable with a 2nd gen, went to the wrecking yard today, and saw a couple (second gens). umm, aside from that I am definitely willing to do the work myself, save on some money haha.
I'm thinking with a used 22re I might spend less than $1000. Anyways I see 1rst gens posted in my area all the time and they go for around $2000-$3000. So if I do end up getting it (defintely won't offer more than $100), there will at least be some value for the truck. Again thank you all so much for the input.
