South Carolina Offroad Camping Trips

Like the title says. Is there anyone out there wanting to get up for a little off roading and camping up in the mountains? I have a few friends that get out every now and then. We usually just ride the trails and find a good spot to sit back by the fire and have a cold one and cook up some good food. Several times a year we do the family trips too with the kids.

We usually go to the Jocassee Gorges (Gorges state park, Muster grounds, Horse pasture). They all surround lake jocassee. Trails are not to tough. Non lifted 4x4's do good. Some of the off the path stuff gets good though. I would like to go to uwharrie. Ive heard good things but never ventured out that way. Let me know if you get a group up sometime. We are hitting up Gorges State Park next weekend by the way if you would like to join us.

the trails at uwharrie dont open for a couple more weeks. i know for a fact me and a few of my buds will be going some time either mid april or in may. I'll pm you and give ya a heads up. the trails are really fun. theres some that are kinda tough for stock rigs but there are ways to bi-pass the tech stuff.
