I was wondering why he didn't just warp the winch line around the tree to the back axle with a strap and flip it over without doing the drag daddy's jeep cross the ground thing. I hope after that little episode someone took his wheeling prevledges away from him. What a maron

I think he was actually getting out to see how "light" it felt... and how much further he could go.

The bizarre things is that I am pretty sure you can see some kids riding with him... or at least a passenger or two.

When the driver rolls it... he doesn't even think for a second about checking to see if everyone is all right. Nice.

Hey guys... under the circumstances, I'm really glad I found this site. My brother and I wheel suzukis but we just bought an 80 single cab with a virtual lift on 33's. We hope to build it up to be a pretty cool trail rig.

Now, about said video, the reason why I pulled the video off my site is because it was posted on colorado4x4.org by what I thought was a very good friend. I'm sure you all read the comments on the subtitle of the video something about being stupid and stuff.

We've taken a lot flack on this. A lot of people have commented on the size of my brother in law etc and, believe it or not, he did not climb the tree there was a stump in front of it. I know we didnt' have a snatch block or tree saver with us but we did the best we could to get it off the trail with what we had there.

That's the only reason we took the video off because it's been up there for awhile. He knows that it was a stupid move.

If you read the thread on the other site you would see that that it was a thread that began about a guy that rolled his XJ on Coney Flats in colorado. He was drunk and he ran his mouth to those trying to help and that was the whole base of that thread and we felt it was unfair to drag us into that post.

If we had needed help we would have been grateful for it. We're not happy about having to damage a tree to get it up.

Please understand, this is the only reason why we pulled the video and yes, I felt it was justified to put the comments up.

I hope in the future that if we meet some of you guys with our yota build up you'll are willing to share your knowledge and information.

Hope this clears up any questions or gray area's about why the video was pulled.

Matt

please tell how, someone can flop on that trail, going that slow ????
I seen the video, his tires were facing left. driver tire was, going UP, not down, the trail.
But i would like to know how anyone, can flop, on that trail nothing but the tree was in there, and he had plenty of room to go arround.
bottom line is... no one was hurt, vehicles can be fixed or replaced

Ric, you're right, his tire was going UP... he was trying to get up on the stump in front of that tree to flex. He wanted to show off for the camera, It was a dumb move, he admits it so did we... he doesn't have a lot of experience and he had just bought his jeep. He's learned a lesson, a tough one at that.

And, you're right we're very lucky no one was hurt and that he was able to get it fixed so quickly.

As for wondering how someone can roll going that slow on that trail? I think you saw how that can happen. We didn't expect it either and that's why we weren't prepared to get it up easier and quicker. Our Sami can do a lot but not lift that jeep at that angle onto it's feet.

He's young he's learning and I can bet he doesn't make a dumb mistake like that again.

And one more thing, I've talked my share of crap about people on videos before but this one just made me realize that we ALL have done a dumb thing or two in our time.

Talk to ya soon.
Matt

Can the video be found anywhere else?

Matt, your explanation was more than enough and accepted. Thanks for joining YT and good luck with your planned build.
