Had an area shut down near you to wheeling?..post here

I'm doing research for a project and I'm looking for areas throughout the US that have been shut down to users (NOT JUST WHEELING.. could be to camping hiking fishing ect also). I'm looking for big examples such as Tellico, Eldorado in Norcal, ect. Also the major reasons why the area was closed to users would be great. Thanks for the help and Happy New Year

Not sure were they are but i know trails around here have been having trees layed down to block trails and you can get fines if you cross over them. I know also the Lions back and a few other places at Moab have been closed. there was a huge thread on pirate about that

I would say the closing down of Paragon in PA. The closing of partial trails in Tellico, NC. The closing of such trails as the Famous (or Infamous) Lions Back in Moab.

Your not going to find a lot of pics on the forums of people not treading lightly. Not many forums will put up with that stuff.
Good luck man!

I have read on TTORA I believe that all of NJ has now been closed to off-roading.

Thanks guys I figured pics were a stretch. Anything I have ever seen that was even questionable people called them out on it. I had forgot about Lions Back and Paragon.

No, they just made laws strict for idiots with ATV's and dirtbikes, if your caught on public land your SOL.

I was just out a week ago with my truck, my buddy and his chevy and my atv with no issues. The area we go is park system and open to the public..

Riddle me this: If it is public land, then why does the government close it to some people??? Are we not all equal members of the public? I pay my taxes...

Anyways, so yeah, the local 4wheeling park was closed temporarely for a soil drainage period after our last rain storm, but it's open now. So I guess things could be MUCH worse.
