Feds to 60 Million American Anglers: We don't need you

IRVINE, Calif. USA – October 5, 2009 – A recently published administration document outlines a structure that could result in closures of sport fishing in salt and freshwater areas across America. The White House created an Interagency Oceans Policy Task Force in June and gave them only 90 days to develop a comprehensive federal policy for all U.S. coastal, ocean and Great Lakes waters. Under the guise of ‘protecting’ these areas, the current second phase of the Task Force direction is to develop zoning which may permanently close vast areas of fishing waters nationwide. This is to be completed by December 9, 2009...

So we can't go to Moab in vehicles or bicycles ! We can't go fishing ....
The ONLY thing I agree with is Healthcare reform.
EVEN I think it is stupid he got a nobel peace prize. It's all because he's black and people don't want to seem racist.
Can we take our boats on lakes and rivers .... if they ban fishing?
(my wife is black and I am not racist, just stating a fact, since I have views from both sides).

I'm not going to turn this political, but this is a prime example of what happens when people vote in leaders that talk a big game, but don't represent the views of the people. We just need to be more careful when we elect people, and do a better job picking them.
Representatives in California closed the Salmon fishing for the last two years, with the exception of an extremely breif 10 day period where Salmon fishing was open for a 100 mile section of coastline. And their reasoning for doing this was based on fraudulent data that the Salmon population decline was due to overfishing, rather than natural causes.
If only Canada wasn't so cold......
