Exclamation t100 bounces under throttle

ok so ill just start here, when i start the truck after its been sitting for a while i idles fine but as i start to drive in bounces as if i have in 5th goin 10mph and does it with every shift til i start gettin into higher rpms. i also hear some sort of grinding noise around 2.5k to 3k rpms in all gears. these problems stop once you get it warmed up.

Now the other problem is when driving for more then 10 minutes at 65mph on the highway, the engine heats up a good bit, not over-heating, just halfway on the gauge apposed to a little less then a 1/4 on the gauge. i also get a oil burning smell but only after driving highway speeds(60+miles per hour) for bout 10mins also, and then the oil light comes on when i come off the high and come to a stop.

One more problem, one the driver side of the engine bay i hear a little tap/tick noise and someone told me its probably a small header leak, but im worried its the valves goin bad.

if anyone can help me with any of these problem please do

thank you

oh and i have a 1994 t100 DX 3.0 5spd

Does the tap/tick relate to the engine rpms or is it coming from the body?

Could you shoot some video and post it?

Also, are you the original owner? If not, then the dipstick could be the wrong one. Shoot a picture of it and post it.

When was the last time you changed the oil? How much oil did you put in?

Grinding noise could be the throwout bearing. How many miles do you have on the truck?

You can git a 19mm socket with a long ratchet, put it on the crank and turn it clockwise. If doesn't turn easily....then you've probably got a frozen bearing or so...

The tapping sounds like valves...also it sounds like yer low on oil?

Piccies of the engine bay with various looks at the left/right sides would be helpful. Also, measure the dipstick and put up a picture of the dipstick handle. I've already seen one T-100 with the wrong dipstick.

Since it didn't crank at all last night...that would say that yer starter wasn't engaging and turning the engine over. You might want to check those starter contacts.

Is there a number on the stick? It would be located near the end...

According to ToyoDIY the number should be 15301-65030 and measures exactly 22" from tip to the base of the handle. I got my measurements my 1993 T-100 and confirmed the numbers and measurement.

The measurement yer showing on yer stick is about 1/4" too short...
