Problems with steering

I am having a lot of vibration from the steering. I jacked up the front end and it does have a lot of play but I can't seem to figure out where it's coming from. I have a new idler arm that I am putting on soon and as soon as the dealership contacts me, I'll have the steering part that was recalled replaced.

So what is the next step after the idler arm if that doesn't fix it?

The truck is a 1996 T100 4x4 SR5 with about 129000 miles.

Thanks

Sounds like you have a tire out of balance or out of round. If those both check out alright it may be the idler arm is worn and allow the frontend to move. I have had this problem. It turned out that 33" mud terrains with no weights on them make the front end shake like mad. Who would have thunk it.

Hey guys, I have a 94 4x4 and I just got a notice from Toyota that the steering relay rod is being recalled... you might want to check into this. You could get some free steering parts replaced.
