New (to me) T100 a few days away
Hi Folks- Just sold my 2000 Sport 4runner for $3500 with 225k miles (lot of typical toyota rust but solid frame and maintenance done, everything worked)
About to drive 3 hours for a 1998 T100 4wd SR5 ext cab with 230k. Tons of maintenance records including T-belt and WP. Truck spent its 1st 13 years in Colorado (no salt) and the last 3 in VT (salt).
From all the pictures and records, Im feeling pretty good about the purchase.
Million dollar question: $4500 with absolutlety no rust and long service history. Great, good, avg, or bad deal?
Half a million dollar question: what should I be especially concerned about on the test drive and walk-thru?
I think trading up to a pick up (which I so desparetly need) for a more sound vehicle with a few more miles by giving up a grand is worth it.
Can;t wait and the T100 is in my top 5 of all time favorite Toyota's.
Thanks! -MD

i would call that a solid deal if it is really as well maintained and clean as it sounds. really 4500 for a good clean truck of the t100 caliber even with 230k is a steal of a deal IMO. the t100 in my area seems to be a really low valued truck for some reason. compare same year milage and option tacoma to t100 and the t100 is almost always 50-75% what the tacoma brings. i personally don't understand this.
