I got 133,000 miles on my 93 and it's still going strong. If memory serves me correctly 98 was the last year they were made. I've seen 4runners and other toyota vehicles go way more than 230,000 miles.

does 370,000k mean 370,000 kilometers or 370,000,000 miles?

I've got almost 350000km on my 94 with the 3.0 and it is still running strong... no driveline issues or anything else either except for needing new rear leafs... they are worn out now lol... the only things you need to check for sure are when was the timing belt last done [if has been changed on schedule it is just past due +/-], check the body for rusty panels [no big deal they are relatively easy and cheap to change], check the condition of the frame [should be fine but if it spent a lot of time in very salty areas without being anti-rust sprayed it might have issues], and of course the saddles might need to be "refreshed" with new cloth/foam but that is really up to you.

Well its a 3.4 so you could probably get another 50k outta the motor..
I know the T100's are rare..But why not just get a Tundra ?

Well, if nothing has broken yet, it should be good... But I'd definitely double check everything mechanical, and don't expect too much out of it. 230,000 doesn't scare me too much, since I've got 216,000, I'm almost there. But buying it from someone else would have me leary. My advice, Keep looking. Unless it's just too good of a deal.

I got my 98 T100 when it had 307k miles on it. Just like anything else, you'll need to give it a good look over...take it to a shop and have them take some readings on the motor. I got mine fer $2200. With a little work this gem polished right up...

As I said "370,000kms =230,000 mi". So yeah 370 thousand kilometers or 37 billion centimeters
![]() How much? > It's $5,400 CAD (Canadian Dollars). That's about $4,600 USD. Why not just get a Tundra? > I want the 3.4L V6. >I don't really want a V8. If I went V8 I might go for a Ford F-150 Supercrew (a comparable Tundra is WAY more $$$). > I love the styling of the T-100 and the size. > I bought a 2007 Tacoma (double cab, Manual, TRD) new, but I'm losing it in a divorce. I also need to refinance and buy my house for like an extra $100k. Suffice to say funds are short. My budget is <$10k. > I was kind of thinking about 3.4L Taco's or 4Runners, but I would like to tow ~3,000lbs to 4,000lbs a few times a year (towing a dedicated offroader). T-100 should be better for this. I'm going to take a look at it. Thanks for the ideas so far! I think corrosion is not an issue, but I'll look close. It's dry here in Alberta. |

Sorry to hear about the split... I'd say put a little sand in the gear box but 1. you'd probably end up paying to fix it and 2. that should never happen to a yota no matter what...
check the T100 close she might not always have been an Alta. truck... a lotta gewphs from the rock brought their trucks with them during the boom...

Nice Iltus Mr. D Is that a Vdub original or a bomber "kit" built? Have you rewired the dash yet?

We have had a 96 4runner sense day one. its well over 240,000 miles and doesnt burn a drop of oil. Its not been getting the millage it should but im willing to bet thats due to air filter/maf cleaning and maybe the o2 but that engine and drive train is dead sound.

Mileage doesn't scare me at all with these trucks. It all depends how well it's been maintained.

3.4 310,000 miles of abuse on mine and still runs like a charm. has developed an oil leak around the valve covers up until that used no oil. i also have a 4runner with the 3.0 183,000 on it use about a quart ever 3000 miles, but still runs very well. but it will get the 3,4 swap as soon as i get the parts rounded up

I replaced the flasher box, and changed the wire to the fuel pump when I relocated it up front... Everything works perfectly. Why would I "rewire the dash"? Is this about some rumor that it will catch on fire spontaneously or something? It has a map light, 3 gauges (volt/oil pres/temp), 3 dummy lights, a heater/hazard switch, push button ignition, and integrated speedo/fuel gauge cluster. Why would I rewire that? I think there are a lot of rumors and mis-information floating around about the Iltis. I don't mind as long as it keeps the parts and vehicles cheap. p.s. Still looking for a T-100. I almost bought a 2003 Tundra, but the deal was too good to be true. It was in 3 accidents and 1 was a total loss. |

) were notorious for dash fires caused by wiring shorts but the 3rd purchase series ones [from VW direct] were ok... that and they were draughty and cold as sin in the winter. But I still want one myself lol... Does it have a tach? For winter use there was an idea I saw once for insulated liners for soft top YJs that could be adapted...
