I have a 95 T100 5VZFE in dire need of a new oil pan. I can't seem to find a new replacement anywhere (besides the dealer for $200)...but I can find them on Rock Auto for a 96 4Runner (same motor) for a lot less. Of course Rock Auto doesn't show if the two will match up correctly or not. I am just worried the suspension components aren't the same and get in the way somehow...Anyone else run into this before and know the answer? Thanks for any help--

No they are not compatible. The T100 is a rear sump oil pan where as the 4Runner pan is front sump.
They will both fit the block but they won't clear each other suspensions.

what about a 3vze pan since its a 95 before the diff side switch, also 3vz was used in the t100 i think

3vze pan...is that why those come up in car-part.com when I search for a pan for my particular engine? Can anyone else confirm this? If so it would definitely solve my problems...

3.0 and 3.4 do share the same block...

if it will clear the diff which if im not mistaken is the same one in the trucks and 4runners of that era. go for it. maybe look at a 4runner or truck parked nearby and see if it is the same as yours. i bet a 3vze pan wopuld be just fine but maybe wait for someone else to chime in

Stupid question, but what happened to your pan that could not be fixed? I have repaired several pans, as long as flange is not trashed, but if that happened block would be trashed as well.

88-95 3.0 4WD and 93-98 T100 all use the same pan. You can find an oil pan from an 88-95 3VZE 4WD and its the same as the T100

96-2002 4Runner and 96-2004 Tacoma use a different pan, and CANNOT be used on the T100.


All V6 T100's from 1993-1998 use the same oil pan. They also used the same diff from 1993-1998. The T100 suspension never changed, nor did the differential. In 1995, they switched to the 5VZ which changed the exhaust, fuel system, and even the bed. But not the suspension.

93-94 T100 used the 3VZ
95-98 T100 used the 5VZ

The truck is a 96 T100 SR5 4x4 5 speed
The motor is out of a 97 4runner Auto 4x4
I need to swap oil pan, oil pick tube, dip stick and tube
To relocate to the rear. I need to swap the engine harness to fit my T100
ECU. If anyone has a motor harness Toyota part # 82121-34131
