8ga may be a bit too small for you it depends on how much draw you are going to put on that 800W inverter and how far away from the batt. you plan to mount it. At a min. I would use 6ga and 4ga would be even better the wiring will run cooler with less resistance and the inverter will work better also. Remember unless it a sealed marine rated unit inverters really don't like to get wet so pick a dry location. You can get the wire from almost any HD or Lowes or an Electrical Wholesaler... Wiring with finer strands will be more flexible and easier to route through the body/frame then wiring with heavier strands. Protect the wire where ever you go through a hole in the body/frame with a grommet or piece of bicycle inner tube sleeved and zip tied around it to prevent chafing.
