I put on a new replacement tailgate for my 91 4runner. I ended up having to slice and dice the wires running from the undercarriage to the tailgate. Everything matched up except there are two green wires with red rings coming from the body and only one green with red rings coming from tailgate. At first i put all 3 together and it blew a fuse and none of the lights would work. Then I cut the smaller one of the two and my turn signals, brake lights, and reverse worked. Then cut the larger one and nothing changed. My window still doesn't work but I'm working on that. So what are those wires for and why is there an extra one. Anyone input is great, thanks!
