Roundeye or Hella?
I am upgrading the headlights on my 96 Tacoma
Leaning towards the Hellas because of the glass lense...any reason I should go with the Roundeyes instead? I figured the glass will hold up better than the polycarbonate for scratches etc.
For the Hellas, I was planning on ordering from rallylights.com. Any ideas on the 'best' bulbs to get? There is a bewildering assortment. I think I am going with 55/60W of some sort, since I don't want to upgrade my harness right now.

I like the Hellas, they last a long time. Only downside of the glass is that you might want to protect it from flying rocks. I run a wire grill over mine, but they also make a clear plastic film as well. The Hellas come with decent 55/60 watt bulbs. Never had one burn out. Might want to check the voltage you are getting to the bulbs, make sure that is up to snuff:

Nothing wrong with either from what I've seen. However, you may want to look into the IPFs... I run them with the Fatboy bulbs (on factory harnesses just fine) and I love them.. Great light pattern and excellent high beams.

What model of Hellas are you talking about? If it's the 500's Driving, ORW "Off Road Warehouse" has them for $49. You'll most likely have to call them because their site has just been revamped and it's a little difficult to find things. Just thought I'd pass a good deal along.

That's where I got mine.. I don't think they're on the site but the thing I like about that place is I can call the head dude direct and he's very knowledgeable and ships extremely fast. His name is Eric and I bought my IPFs, TJM, Aussie Locker, and some other random stuff from him.

Update:
I ended up getting the Round Eyes. I am very pleased with them. It is nice to spend money on something and actually have a norticable improvement.
