Question about Immobilizer/Transponder modules..

Question about Immobilizer/Transponder modules..
May be a long shot.. But basically I'm trying to find what year they started putting them into US trucks, and what the difference is between the ones that come in the camry, sienna, solara, etc. Because up until a certain point they all look very similar and share the same 14pin connector.
The reason I ask is that I'm almost 99% finished with my 1kzte diesel conversion into my 91 pickup. BUT I didnt recieve the immobilizer module with my engine. I have the key, the sensor, the amplifier, and the wiring for it figured out, but I do not have the module itself. Trying to bypass it by jumpering the wires didn't work. The truck will start up for about 2 seconds, then immediately cuts off.
The ECU shows to be from a 96-99 Land cruiser Prado. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
