Neat Idea for Aux Light Wiring and Relays

So I was tired of having sketchy wiring for my lights under the hood. I was burning out relays, having my HIDs flicker and the way the relays were wired was a mess.

I really wanted to find a good solution for mount the relays. There's room for one more 4 pin Bosch relay in the OEM fuse box (if you attach a Painless relay block inside of it), but I needed room for headlights, fog lights and eventually roof lights and a radiator fan.

After some serious searching, I found a relay box from an early 90's Celica. It's for the radiator fan relays. It holds three 40a 4/5 pin Bosch-type relays, one 3 pin micro relay and a few jumper slots for fuses.

Got the box, with all wiring and relays intact, for $12 shipped off a Celica forum. These relays are much higher quality than the trash you can get at Checker or Autozone (Toyota relays go for ~$20 new each).

Wired it in, found a perfect spot to mount it behind the evap box and have enjoyed super reliable and safe lights ever since.

FYI the part number for relay terminals that work in all Toyota relay boxes is 2965580. Cheap on ebay.
