Lights on HELP.. trans light, charging light, and brake light

Hey there everyone, i have a problem. my toyota decided to take a crap on its new owner, and i had to refund his money, "won't happen again" anyway here is what is going on, it died on him once and he boosted it off and before that the automatic tranny heat light is on, the chargin light is on, the brake light is on, BUT everything works the back window, the lights the blinkers and even the AC and it is running fine other than these lights, also i pulled the positive battery cable and it stayed running without the lights on, with lights on it died, this has always pointed toward a bad alt if it ran with no battery cable and no lights on to pull it down. Let me know if u have seen this problem before. Thanks.. also checked the connection, and checked the fuse the engine fuse all was well..

Check the output of the alternator, it sounds as though it's not charging. With the engine running put a volt meter across the battery terminals, it should read 13.5 to 14 volts. This isn't a load test but gives you a general idea.

ok here is what i got.. WIERD ITEM. Usally when a belt if loose it makes a noise. well i don't know if it is fixed but i noticed that when i revved the engine after driving 30 miles i went to pass someone and wow the lights went off. Then i slowed back down and the lights came on, so i test the battery before i left walmart in cleveland,tn and it was barely reading 12 it was like 11 something with the lights all on, and the ac on. now u tell me what american car can run with hardly any electric lol. anyway i got home and checked it, it was 12.3 i think. So I revved it and after a sec of revin the out put went to over 13.8 and then it settles down and idles and set at 13.33 weird. The lights went off.. So then after that it tests 13.33 and with all the lights on it is like 12.8 i know this isn't the best but not the worst either. u tell me i tightend the belt but before i did i revved it up and that is when the lights went off and it went to charging? could this be a loose belt? I thought? HUMM? Well i will tighten it so i did and 13.33 at idle.. Could this be a ECu problem? i have never had this happen and it just did today..

Sounds like alternator may be on its way out...
