I need a connector!

I have a 98 Sienna....recently the headlights began losing connection, depending on what you did with the tilt steering. So, I took the column apart and found the problem. The connection, where the headlight switch hooks into the wiring harness, has gotten hot and charred the plastic and damaged the connection. So, short of buying a new wiring harness, how can I get ahold of a new connector???? Any ideas are welcome! Thanks

Stop in at a local junkyard, and when nobody's looking, "borrow" one.

You can buy the connector and the pins, all seperate parts. But do you have those goofy blue headlights that are rated over the stock rating of 55/65 watts? Last time I saw this was from those blue headlight bulbs rated at 100 watts. Caution, the connector is super spendy (guess about $30 and each pin is about $4 each. I suspect only a few pins are bad. We alwasy save old wiring harness for the shop for just this reason.

Where can I get it? I checked with the dealer and they said they don't have them. I only need 1 pin. Our headlights are OEM.

If the connector itself is OK, you might be OK with only the pin. But usually is melts the connector. Hey, you dont have higher wattage bulbs than stock, do you?

OK, here is the PDF form for many later model Toyota pins. You will have to measure and use the pictures. Pin locks vary, so make sure its identical in appearance. These pins will cover many late model Toyotas from about early 90's onward. So if there is a nice storage spot ot keep these on hand for others...

Download it so I can remove it from my server.
