HighBeam Contacts- Pull steering wheel???

So I need to clean the contacts on the high beam combination switch in the column on my 1992 DLX. For those of you who have done this, do I really HAVE to pull the steering wheel. Anyone done it on THIS GENERATION of Toyota truck? I read on post where the guy said he did not, but it was a much newer truck.

If your real tiny about 90 pounds with real little fingers .

You might be able to contort yourself to be able to work underneath the steering column as the contacts are on the bottom of the switch

Myself it is much easier to remove the switch sit down and be comfortable

it is not that hard to pull the steering wheel

Well I'm 220 and 6 ft with smoked links for fingers. So I will prob pull the wheel. But you say the contacts are on the bottom, so they should be visible from under the column?

I must say I have only looked at them removed from the Truck

If I tried to look under there I would still be there just a dried out corpse

Seen the Hydraulic shears ( that has another name ) up close and personal

Well I'm gonna put off fixing it til early spring. Gotta locate replacement upper and lower plastic column covers first. Discontinued by Toyota for the one with tilt like mine. I guess eBay is the only way.

Or classifieds or a wrecking yard. There are several threads on here in regards to painting them to match as well. You have more options than you may realize.

This is from the previous generation but to get to the contacts, you have to pull the steering wheel and remove the assembly>>>> https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f199...l#post51724567
