HELP 93 yota 4x4 BATT LIGHT AND BRAKE LIGHT ON not charging

help i got a 93 toyota 4x4 4cyl not chargingstarted out by having the battery and brake light on at the same time, a little research told me that i had a no charging issue so checked the battery and altanator both were bad (been sitting for awile) so I changed both now the lights went away but I am still not charging I checked the altanator again and its good on the bench, when i turn the key on without starting the truck the batt light is supposed to come on and turn off when i start the truck but that is not the case the light does not come on. I checked the main wire on term. B which goes to the alt fuse and the batt and I have a reading of 0.01 ohms the is anouther connector on the alt. with three wires a yellow one a red one and a white one but that doesnt help me cause i dont know what im supposed to be reading of each wire so i cant find the fault i find schmatics online but there to bland to tell me to what those three wires do or what im supposed to be reading PLEASE HELP

did you ever figure it out??? i have the same #$%# problem. battery went bad, alternator couldn't charge, replaced battery, 3 days later charge & brake lights come on, replaced the alternator, now the charge light is off when running but it doesn't come on when not running like it should. and it's obviously not charging. I've got voltage at the field wire on the alternator.
