Charging Issue 1993 PU
I just rebuilt the 22re in my 1993 pickup, and now I am having some charging issues. I have checked and double checked power at the plugs (12v at all w/ key on) on my new alternator, but I am not getting a charge. My battery light does not come on when the key is turned on, but I have checked bulb. New battery and new alternator. I'm assuming it was charging before it was parked, since it was the PO'S DD. Any advice? Thanks.

Not all alternators get rebuilt correct these days it is not uncommon to have them fail out of the box.
Just because it is nice and clean does not mean it works.
Have you taken the alternator back to have it tested??
Corroded harness side plug on the alternator ??
The wire coming off the alternator B terminal can get thermal cycled over time .
Have you measured output there ??.
Most often a fused jumper wire works best on a running engine instead of trying to reach with a meter probe on a hot running engine.
Ground cables never were the best on these vehicles perhaps time for a upgrade.
Never Assume anything !!!
