Can someone identify this 3rd wire stemming from my starter?
I removed my engine, rebuilt the entire thing, reconstructed it and put it back in. Everything is complete and together. However, the one thing I don't know is where this white connector coming out of the engine-facing side of the starter goes. I have the other two starter wires connected, but this one's home escapes me. Honestly, I can't remember if it was even connected before I initially removed the engine. I scoured the entire harness and can't find a unhooked connection point nor can I find anything within reach of this short plug.
After searching various forums and using my manuals, I was suspecting that it may have some relation to the Clutch Start Stop button, but I'm not sure.
The wire in question is seen in the photo below. It's white, and just above the starter and below the fuel filter.
My vehicle is a 93 pickup, 22re, 5spd, 4wd.

With these trucks if you have not owned it from the day it was sold you have no idea what might have been added .
Is there something not working ??
Just one wire what color ??
How long is the wire just where could it reach??
One wire could be a sensor go to a vsv
It might even be for something your truck does not have .
