AC/heater blower stopped working
Got in my truck the other day and the blower suddenly doesn't work. I've done a search to help diagnose the problem. My question is, does anyone know of a link to a simple guide to fixing this? Preferably one with pictures, as I'm a newbie to mechanics in general, but especially a newbie to electrical. thanks!

To test the switch, use a test light or ohm meter to see if it is making contact. Usually it is fails, it is due to excess heat and the plastic melts, so quite obvious if it has failed.
Relay testing can be done in two steps, #1 put your finger on it and turn the blower switch on and off. If you can feel the relay click on and off, the coil part is likely working. Then test like a switch, see if power is coming out of the relay. Also test the fuse.

thanks 4crawler! is there an easy way to get to the switch without removing the whole 9 yards? i'm doubting that there is, but I thought I'd ask anyways.

No idea, never had problems with mine, so never looked into removing it. My theory of troubleshooting is to start with the easiest to get to things and work back towards the harder to get to things. So fuse, motor, resistor, relay, then lastly switch.

thanks man, you're awesome. I just got the blower off. I'm guessing that Toyota must have used Japanese contortionists to put that rear screw on...that thing was a PITA to get to!. But anyways, it looks like I'll be ordering a brush replacement set from you. How do I go about doing that?
