96 4Runner Hazard lights power source?

Can anyone with a wiring diagram tell me where the hazard light circuit and also the fuse box in dash get their power from? Reason I ask is in my recent troubleshooting for my battery reverse polarity issue, I realized that my hazard lamps work. According to the 2003 Tacoma factory service manual (FSM) I found online, the hazards are on the main (downstream of fusible link for alternator) branch of the electrical flow diagram, and so is the in-dash fuse panel. On my 96 4Runner, I have power to the hazards and also to one fuse (WTF?) in my dash fuse panel. Of course, this conflicts with my theory that the main (alternator) fusible link is toast on my truck. If my truck differs from the 2003 Tacoma in terms of the current flow path, and the hazards are more directly connected to the battery (as is headlight wiring, dome light, etc on a seperate branch), then my theory can still hold water. Problem is, I don't have access to the 96 or 97 4Runner FSM or wiring diagrams. If anyone knows the answer, please let me know ASAP so I can put this to rest!
