2016 fog light replacement

Hi All,
I now have a brand new 2016 SR5 Premium 4Runner.
One of my fog lamps is out. (after only 1500 miles)
It looks like it is a H16 type bulb.
Those should twist so the three tabs line up with holes and pop out.
But when I twist them they hit stops in either direction and won't line up with holes so I can pull them out.

Anyone know the trick to removing one so I can replace it?

and did anyone replace these with LED versions?

Thanks All,

fog llamp replacement

OK,
My dealer has a chat window.
They keep promising to call me back or tell me the trick, but Hell has not frozen over.
I found a site that showed me there is a tab to press in order to remove the wire connector. After that, with considerable elbow grease I was able to twist it to the position that allows the bulb to come out.
I ordered LED H16 replacements and will update when I see if they are as bright as the Halogens.
(I have already done the interior and Backup light bulbs with led replacements)

I would have gone back to the dealership and made them replace it - I'm not sure if a fog lamp is covered under warranty, but after only 1500 miles I'd suspect that the dealership would have done it anyway just to keep a customer happy.

I have a '16 Tacoma TRD Sport (LOVE IT) and was thinking of upgrading the headlights and fog lights as well. I think Toyota did a great job on upgrading the headlight housings, but I'm not quite sure why Toyota didn't go all the way and install HIDs behind those projectors. They knocked it out of the park with the wide angle fog lights - I'm not sure if you have those on your 4Runner too, but they shoot a nice wide beam that damn near projects 90* to the left and right of the truck! Only problem is that they could be brighter.

Let us know how the LED fog lamps work out for you. I'll likely go with HID lamps for my headlights and LED lamps for my fog lights.

My led lamps will arrive today, and when I get a chance to see them a night I will update as to how well they work when compared to the OEMs.

I do have the wide angle fog lamp coverage.

My dealer never responded to their chat window commitment to get back to me.

I didn't want to risk breaking something by man powering it.
But now that I figured it out myself I will take that as an indication of their customer service level.

When you get a bad meal you go back to the restaurant.
