1995 sr5 4x4 buzzer doesn't stop...ever

Long time troller, first time poster. I have a buzzer problem I have yet to see on any forum. My buzzer never stops. Truck off, keys out, doors closed it buzzes ever so quietly. All night, all day, I thought it would wear itself out...no such luck. Keys in (buzzing loudly now) truck running, seat belt on (always)...still buzzing! Driving? Buzzing. Lights off? Buzzing. Always? Buzzing. For now, I pulled the dome fuse. I like my dome light and don't feel it should suffer because somebody won't stop! I know where the buzzer is and if Bin Laden had hid there, we would never catch him. I tried everything short of cutting in from the outside to get to it. Afraid of busting important things like fuse panels and wires that are necessary for the normal operation of the vehicle. I have trolled forums like a MoFo, and come up empty handed. Please help!

Not sure just how the 95 Schematic goes.

But you have one buzzer that your lights are on

You have the seat belt buzzer

One of the relays has fused contacts

One of the switches is stuck in the closed position

or one of the wires is grounded completing the circuit keeping the buzzer on

Does the dome light work like it should with the left door switch??

You just need to work through one circuit at time.

The Electrical Wiring Diagrams for you truck make it much easier to trouble shoot.

I figure it's a stuck relay or ground issue. Left door switch is junk, I removed it completely. I need to get my hands on a fsm, for sure! Funny thing is, when I bought the truck I never heard a peep from the buzzer, then one day...

If the wire from the left door switch is now grounded that might be your problem

So many circuits are tied into that switch

Just wanted to update this thread in case anybody else has the same symptoms. I had a hunch it had to do with the ignition switch. Due to the fact the noise got louder once I put my keys in. I was right! There is a little white box mounted on top of the cylinder, at the very front. Inside the cylinder is a metal piece which pushes up on a plunger on the white box, activating the buzzer. This metal piece should drop back down once the key is turned and in the On position, mine doesn't. Solution? Either replace said cylinder (nope) or cut the two wires going to the white box (yup). Cap the wires, remove the box, enjoy the silence! Radio works, dome lights work, all is good. Still doesn't explain why no buzzer for the other triggers (headlights, seatbelt, door open) but I guess those were all disabled by PO? BTW, getting to the box requires dropping the steering column. A bit of a hassle, but you gotta do what you gotta do. Happy wheeling!

I would say 99% of electric problems I find has to do with after market wiring such as stereos and trailer hitches. First thing I would do is to remove the after market stereo and wire back to the way Toyota had it. I would bet that fixes it. Then I would get a Plug and Play harness for the stereo, should be able to order one from a stereo shop and I have even seen them at Wal-Mart in some cases.
