Toyota Vehicle Intrusion System or Aftermarket Alarm?
With all the money I've got invested in my truck, I feel like an idiot riding around without any sort of protection what so every other than the doors locked. I've had a Viper system in the past and it was a PITA to intall. Just wondering what everyone's luck has been with the Toyota system. Looks like it's on sale at ToyotaParts4u.com and might be the perfect Christmas gift from my wife since I can't think of anything I need that's in our price range this year. What do ya'll think....Toyota or aftermarket alarm? Thanks.

I would spend my money on a tracking system like "Boomerang" or in the states its called "lo-jack"(i think) or a real good ignition/fuel kill switch...I agree with Matt, no-one pays attention to alarms anymore.

matt,
a good number of us 3rd gen guys bought the commando 870 alarm system. theres plenty of advice/opinions on it on the forum. i couldnt be more pleased to have rid myself of the stock alarm and install this. even goodtimes (lance) put one in his girlfriend's corolla!
want more info? you know what to do
