Toyota Vehicle Intrusion System or Aftermarket Alarm?

With all the money I've got invested in my truck, I feel like an idiot riding around without any sort of protection what so every other than the doors locked. I've had a Viper system in the past and it was a PITA to intall. Just wondering what everyone's luck has been with the Toyota system. Looks like it's on sale at ToyotaParts4u.com and might be the perfect Christmas gift from my wife since I can't think of anything I need that's in our price range this year. What do ya'll think....Toyota or aftermarket alarm? Thanks.

IIRC...the toyota alarms dont have the sensors around the body of the vehicle. I would go with an aftermarket like viper or compustar. Also, get some air horns with the siren b/c nobody pays any atten to a car siren anymore, but if you got load air horns going off, the might take a glance.

I would spend my money on a tracking system like "Boomerang" or in the states its called "lo-jack"(i think) or a real good ignition/fuel kill switch...I agree with Matt, no-one pays attention to alarms anymore.
