Hello im a student now and previously worked with autos alot but i cannot figure out what is wrong here. I have a 1994 lexus sc400 and the alarm will go off randomly when the doors are locked. The dash lights also come on but turn off whenever i turn the turn signal on. the headlights work while the dashlights are illuminated. I have dissassembled the entire dash and disconnected the ignition completely along with all connectors throughtout the entire dash and center console area. Even the computer box connectors were disconnected and the dash lights still remain on. I would love any input as to what could cause this... Ive ruled out the ignition being bad due to the fact that i had it disconnected and yet the dash lights were still on. The headlights do turn on when the problem is occuring and ive come to a conclusion that the alarm goes off because the car thinks it is being stolen since the doors are locked and dash is on. Ive left the turn signal on for a day and locked the doors and the alarm hasnt gone off yet meaning that the dashlights have not illuminated. When i say dash lights i mean it is as if i have the key in and to the on position, it usually chimes when the dash lights up itself too. my email is cardfb63@aol.com if anyone could help plz email me or respond to this thread.
